I am a lover of all things classic and well made. Lately, when I think about the things I want to create, I realize more and more that I want my designs to be meaningful and long lasting. No junk! I think there are enough disposable things in this world. I hope to make objects that enhance someone’s life as well as be something they can keep and cherish.
When on the West Coast I have the pleasure of driving my 1984 300SD Turbo Mercedes (unlike the subterranean transport on the East). I certainly don’t mind that it takes an eon to warm up, corners like a steam boat, and barely pushes the speed limit. The classic Mercedes styling is unmistakable and nothing THUNKS like a Mercedes door when it shuts. This baby is so solid I don’t think I even need an airbag (knock on wood!). The paint is nearly perfect, and so is the navy leather! No way are we letting her go…. I’ve had two offers on her in the last week!
